Cross Your Heart And Tell Me Why
Last week, Crøssed Hearts, the 2 piece computercore project from Philly, dropped their newest track, TELL ME. We are once again swept back to a time where our jeans were tighter and most definitely black. Our hair was sleek and covering our eyes to hide the look of melancholy and our teen despair. And the music we loved screamed at us, literally, but in a way that comforted us in the emo-est of ways.
It seems these two talented gents have managed to bring back a sound that so many of us related to and loved and let's face it, still have love for. However, they have definitely put their own twist on this sound/scene and I think it is safe to say that it was never a phase.
Like their last release, TELL ME packs a mean punch right off the bat. It has a bit of a more sentimental tone and is giving off major Underoath, with a touch of The Bled's Pass the Flask vibes.
Now whether or not these hardcore musical stylings are up your alley, it's definitely awesome and respectable to see these gents create music from a scene that they were truly influenced by and not to mention is taking us down a blast from the past road.
