Fountain of Life in Long Island: Apollonir

Long Island DIY duo, Apollonir, are back at it dropping a brand new 5 song EP entitled 'The Living Fountain'. In case you're not familiar with this power duo, Apollonir is made up of two members from Long Island, Connor Cartafalsas and Zander Tesoriere. Both coming from musical upbringings, the two have come together to create yet another DIY masterpiece. They released their first EP back in the summer of 2022 entitled 'Residency'. Here we heard a lighter, riffy, pop punk with a hint of screamo sound and the lyrical content we heard was unreal and ridiculously emotionally raw.

It seems, however, with 'The Living Fountain' we are not only getting something a bit heavier sound wise, but also lyrically. The EP opens with a song called 'Waves' and immediately we are taken down a road that seems all too early 2000's screamo and familiar, but of course Apollonir puts a twist on it that makes it just as unique and rad as they are. The screams complied with the harmonious chorus make up a track that is sure to have the eldest and youngest of emos getting in their feels and also hardcore dancing in the living room. From start to finish the whole EP flows and seems to tell a story. Ending with the title track, 'The Living Fountain' is the grand finale of the EP and it definitely goes out with a bang.

The work that goes into being a DIY band/artist is definitely not a task for the faint of heart, however when in comes to Apollonir it seems there's nothing they can't do musically. Their versatility shines through in this EP and there's no doubt that they give us a more polished and mature sound with every release.
